What is CrossFit?
CrossFit, or the "Sport of Fitness" is a strength and conditioning system built on constantly varied, functional movements executed at high intensity.
The CrossFit program is designed to be general, broad and inclusive in its fitness goals and implements universal scalability making it the ideal application for any committed individual regardless of experience. We scale our workouts to the fitness level of the individual.
CrossFit combines weightlifting, sprinting, gymnastics, power lifting, and rowing. To help you become fit as well proficient in each of ten general physical skills: cardiovascular/respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, agility, balance, coordination, and accuracy.
So... what does that mean?
At CrossFit you will run, row, jump rope, climb rope and carry odd objects in addition to dumbbells, gymnastics rings, pull-up bars, kettle bells, and many bodyweight exercises. There is a different workout every day that will drive you to expand your fitness in all areas.
